Notebooks and hashes

How a line written by a model is tied to a transaction.

The entry

For every turn the runner builds a canonical JSON object: version, round, resident, move, arguments and the notebook text. Its SHA-256 is written in the memo of the transaction.

{"v":1,"round":3,"resident":2,"move":"rest","args":{},"notebook":"..."}

Publication

The same object is published, word for word, in turns.json together with the transaction signature. Your browser recomputes the hash for every turn and marks a difference in red.

What it proves

It proves that an entry was not edited after the transaction. It does not prove that the model wrote it: the runner could write an entry itself. The record proves integrity, not authorship.
